Call for Papers and Workshops
Important Dates:
Abstract Submission Opens: 1 January 2019
Abstract Submission Deadline: 5 March 2019
Acceptance Notification: 31 March 2019
Registration Opens: 1 April 2019
Registration Closes: 15 July 2019 (No On-Site Registration)
The Center for Survey Research (CSR) of Academia Sinica in Taiwan will hold an international conference on survey research methodology on 8 August and the morning of 9 August 2019. In addition, CSR will offer a four-hour workshop on Total Survey Error as a framework for high quality survey design on the afternoon of August 7. A second four-hour workshop on weighting for various types of survey data, such as panels, dual frames etc., takes place on the afternoon of August 9.
About the Conference
We welcome papers that focus on survey research methodology, including but not restricted to:
l Interviewing and questionnaire design
l Sampling issues
l Nonresponse and incentives
l Measurement issues, including issues of cross-cultural comparisons
l Statistical techniques for analyzing survey data
l Applying and/or combining technologies (e.g., online, web, and GIS social media) for doing survey research
l Using sources of information (e.g., big data, or paradata) to complement survey data
Abstract Submission Guidelines
1. Only abstracts submitted to the conference website by 5 March 2019 will be considered.
2. Abstracts should not exceed 300 words. All submissions must be in English, and all accepted works are to be presented in English. Abstracts generally include a description of the research with specific research questions or hypotheses, methods, and results, if available at the time of submission.
3. Submitters will be notified of the result by 31 March 2019 by email. The submitter is the primary contact person and is responsible for notifying all co-authors of acceptance, rejection and any other information provided
